About this class

For better or worse, breastfeeding can feel like the first real test for new moms. Never mind the fact you just labored and delivered a healthy new life into the world! When you’re preparing for your breastfeeding journey you’ll hear horror stories and success stories, and each of them will come with different (and often conflicting) advice from friends and family.

Join us as we walk you through the basics of breastfeeding to help make your story a successful one.

This class will cover:

Bringing in the breast milk on time
Feeding schedules
Understanding a good latch vs a bad latch
Holding your baby during breastfeeding
Breast pumps
Increasing your milk supply
How to know your baby’s getting enough to eat
Breast milk storage and preparation
Vitamins for Mom and baby

Meet your instructor

Dr. Tim Porter is a board certified pediatrician and the Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Modern Pediatrics in Austin, TX. Dr. Tim is passionate about new parent education and is thrilled to be teaching this newborn prep curriculum to families across the country.
