Arantxa is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who grew up in San Antonio before making her way to Austin, where she attended the University of Texas and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Arantxa spent 9 years as a pediatric nurse, with most of her experience in the pediatric emergency department. Those years taught her about the resilience of children and the importance of meeting families with empathy, reassurance, and a calm presence when things feel overwhelming. Her goal is to build meaningful connections with families and help children feel comfortable and involved in their own care.
One of her favorite parts of pediatrics is watching children grow and discover the world around them—from those first newborn days to seeing their personalities and interests unfold, to watching them become increasingly confident and independent. She wants to be a part of it all!
Arantxa lives in East Austin with her husband, Matthew, and their daughter, Frances. When she’s not at work, you can find her spending time at the lake with her family, cheering on the Longhorns and Spurs, enjoying game nights with friends, or catching a movie.
